The development of Cadder High Speed Train (HST) yard, for which Complete Paving Requirements (Scotland) Ltd are a civils framework supplier, has made another leap forward this month. CPR have completed 180 concrete building foundations for a two-storey office accommodation building for Rail Systems Alliance Scotland staff.
The area, which had been excavated, underwent a full upfill from the CPR Civils team including a layer of 6N, geotextiles, crusher run then type 1. CPR then supplied and fitted the steel reinforced form work for 180 individual foundation bases.
CPR started pouring the first of the concrete bases on 1st Sept 2021 and completed the final one on 25th September 2021. All concrete works were supplied and fitted by CPR and required over 144 cubic metres of concrete to fill all 180 bases. This is a significant volume to achieve in the timeframe and current supply chain obstacles.
Works on the site, to develop the infrastructure and buildings to accommodate the High-Speed Trains, will continue throughout 2021.
