CPR have been awarded a contract to resurface 24 car parks across Scotland within 6 months by ScotRail Abellio. This is a very tight timescale and shines the spotlight on CPR’s ability to deliver an exemplary programme of works and contract management for surfacing works.
The high number of previous car parks projects delivered by CPR, on time and on budget, means they have the knowledge on managing elements such as phasing for car park closures and safe management for public and vehicular access.
The works started at the end of August 2018 and is due to be completed by mid-February 2019. The company’s Rail and Surfacing Divisions have been deployed to deliver the six-phase plan to ensure the works are completed successfully.
Phase 1 and 2 have already been completed and includes;
Phase 1. Lochgelly, Inverurie, Tain, Newtonmore
Phase 2. Bishopton, Troon, Irvine, Kilmarnock
Phase 3 to 6 contains the following stations;
Phase 3. Carluke, Hamilton West, Lanark, Whitecraigs
Phase 4. Bellshill, Gartcosh, Lochwinnoch
Phase 5. Blantyre, Johnstone, Stirling, Westerton
Phase 6. Croy, Kirknewton, Perth & West Calder
