Morgan Sindall have instructed CPR to deliver kerbing works at the new construction site at Bishopton Interchange at Junction 29A of the M8 slip road to the Erskine Bridge.
The site is owned by BAE Systems who are regenerating the former Royal Ordnance site into a new development named Dargavel Village which will provide approximately 2,500 new homes by 2025.
The new £14.1M construction site will realign the A8, with new embankments for the slip roads to and from the M8 and two new roundabouts on the A8. Morgan Sindall will also deliver associated infrastructure such as drainage and street lighting, as well as cycle paths and pedestrian areas, according to BuildScotland.
CPR will work in partnership with the works to deliver the programme of kerbing across the site. It is expected that those works will take an estimated seven months to complete.
The new Bishopton Interchange is due to open in 2020.
