Rail Systems Alliance Scotland 5 Year Civil Engineering Rail Contract

The company has been awarded a second major rail contract. Rail Systems Alliance Scotland have awarded CPR a framework contract to provide civil engineering services across the Scotland rail network for the next 5 years.

The contract announcement comes soon after it was revealed the comany had secured a similar contract to supply resurfacing works to Network Rail on the same route.

The company specialises in Civil Engineering and Surfacing and have worked in the rail industry since 2002. Over this time the company has built a strong reputation as a reliable and experienced contractor to the rail sector.

Rail Systems Alliance Scotland is a partnership between major players in the rail sector in Scotland including Network Rail, Babcock and Arcadis. Their purpose is to deliver renewals and enhancements in CP6 & 7. This will include a new £33 million train depot and staff accommodation facility at Cadder near Lenzie, which is already underway.

William Black, Complete Paving Requirement’s Managing Director said of the contract award,

“The company’s award by RSAS as a framework provider for civil engineering works across the Scotland Route will truly compliment our existing surfacing contract on the same route. The efficiencies in operations and deployment, alongside our evident rail experience will deliver maximum value for the client.”

“CPR’s Rail and Civils Divisions already work hand in hand on many projects and this will be an extension of that close working relationship. The team have worked hard to secure the frameworks, and this will secure the company’s future for many years to come"

The company had been announced as the Tier 1 contractor for Surfacing by Network Rail on the same route just three weeks earlier.
