CPR Employee Mentored Towards Career In Quantity Surveying

Connor Stevenson, 21, has been offered an exciting opportunity to develop his career towards becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor by CPR. He will begin a HNC and HND in Quantity Surveying at City of Glasgow College, then go on to complete a Degree at Glasgow Caledonian University. During his studies he will come under the mentorship of CPR's Senior Quantity Surveyor, Karo Egware, who has two Master Degrees in Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying.

Connor, 21 from Kilwinning, aspired to a career within Engineering and had previously studied towards an NC in Civil Engineering while employed as a CAD Technician. He started working with CPR in April 2017 as a Plant Assistant. During this time he worked with Karo and gained an understanding of what a role as a qualified Quantity Surveyor entailed and was inspired to work towards it. CPR sought out opportunities for Connor to study in this area and agreed to fully fund the day release course at City of Glasgow College.

He has now moved into a role as a Commercial Assistant under the mentorship of Karo while he develops his capabilities. Conner stated "I am very appreciative of the opportunity that CPR have given me with the chance to learn from Karo first hand while learning at college. I can't imagine many people get the same chance to learn in this way and with such a great company."

Connor will begin day release HNC in Quantity Surveying at City of Glasgow College in Sept 2017. He will support CPR Civil Engineering across a range of projects.
