CPR Team Battered By Storm on Summer Solstice

This car park resurfacing contract required surfacing, drainage, and line marking.

The CPR team were battered by heavy rain, thunder and lightning while resurfacing Hillfoot Station car park in Bearsden, Glasgow on the Summer Solstice.

This site has a particularly high level of car park usage, the teams were working outside of normal working hours to minimise impact. Technically it was straightforward; scarifying the surface, installing new aco drains, regulated to form new levels, overlay with 10mm wearing course finish and completing the job with line marking. all forecast to be complete in four days.

They had not been there long when the heavens opened and they were engulfed by a deluge of rain, and spectacular thunder storm. It continued throughout the shift and the team worked hard to keep the job on track, on time and in budget.

As you can see from the images we completed the contract to the usual CPR high standard, including additional landscaping of red chips around the edges to enhance the aesthetics of the area, without it being in the contract.
