CPR has completed a major refurbishment of Dumbarton East Station. The results can be viewed in the before and after images below. The contract on behalf of Network Rail included a range of works such as resurfacing, drainage, kerbing, cope works and replacement board on the bridge.
This scope was later extended to include repairs to platform walls and preparation of overbridge for structural steel works.
Network Rail were initially seeking a supplier to provide surfacing works to Platform 1 and 2 of Dumbarton East Station, which was in a state of disrepair.The scope of works included surfacing works such as drainage, tactiles, copes and chips. The contract was extended to include a gauging survey, overbridge preparation and steel fabrication repairs, brick works to Platform 1 and 2 walls and overseal and Platform bridge deck wall repairs.
Works are now all but complete and the station has been completely refurbished.
