On Monday, June 24th, CPR’s head office team held a presentation to recognise three local schools for their outstanding efforts at the Run Loch Lomond Fun Run. As the gold sponsor of the event, the Company wanted to award the children for their performance. The awards were presented to the schools with the most participants compared to their school roll.
Well done to everyone who participated with a special mention to Gartocharn Primary, Christie Park Primary and Balloch Primary who took home the winning shields. Second year in a row for both Gartocharn & Balloch Primary!
It was another great year for Run Loch Lomond with an incredible turnout of 1,560 runners and several hundred spectators. There was a brilliant atmosphere at the fun run which then continued into the 10k and 5k. By sponsoring the event, CPR helped to lower the entry fees and ensure it remained accessible to the local community, including local schools.
More pupils from Vale of Leven Academy participated again this year. All the pupils achieved fantastic times across both the 10k and 5k. The fastest pupil for the 10k finished the race in 46:30 and a special mention goes to Lexy Patterson who completed the 5k in 29:46!
CPR wants to encourage hundreds of children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities to take part in the Run Loch Lomond Fun Run, 5k and 10k.
