Line-Marking Division Embarks on Large Scale Station Improvement Programme

CPR Line Marking Division are embarking on a programme of station platform improvements at one hundred and six stations across the Scotland Route on behalf of ScotRail. The line marking improvements include painting platform copes white, adding the yellow warning line adjacent to tactile slabs, and painting 'Mind the Gap' signs.

CPR have invested in additional line marking plant and equipment in 2021. This includes two high performance line lasers for increased precision, and jet surface dryers to increase surface drying times and enhance efficiency in the deployment of equipment to multiple stations.

To ensure there is no disruption to passengers, the CPR Line Marking Teams will work throughout the night while stations are un-manned. Works began at Thurso Station this week and are expected to continue until the end of 2021.
