Following the successful completion of a project to construct fifteen residential parking bays across North Lanarkshire early in 2019, CPR continue to deliver a number of similar projects on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council.

The works, depicted in the before and after slider above, are of the construction of new parking bays at Kyle Road in Cumbernauld.

A total of seven new bays were created for the residents of the street from kerbside patches of ground. The works are a good example of many similar parking bay construction projects that CPR are undertaking across the area.

The scope of works for the parking bays includes:

- Provision of site set up including temporary accommodation, public information notices and traffic and pedestrian management.
- Site clearance including removal of kerbing
- Excavation and disposal of earthworks and hard material
- Lay geotextiles and completion of formation and sub-formation
- Surfacing of pavements including sub-base, type 1, bitumen and asphalt
- Surfacing of paved areas including type 1, bitumen and surface course
- Installation of drainage and kerbing
- Thermoplastic line marking applied.
