Platform Alignment for Intercity Express

CPR Rail Division are in Broughty Ferry Station until end June to realign the platform in preparation for the new Intercity Express rolling stock.

The new trains require gauging works on the platform. The contract is being delivered on behalf on Story Construction Rail Division. To ensure passengers are not affected, CPR are working while the station is vacant overnight. Works include full excavation via Story's RRV excavator, a rail specific plant which sits on the rails.

CPR will supply the concrete copes for this contract. They will be manufactured onsite using a newly installed concrete batching plant and transported to the Broughty Ferry Station. Works are due to conclude end June 2018.
