Pylon Muffs Replacement by CPR Civils Team
CPR Civils Teams worked in Poole for 6 weeks to complete a concrete works project. The team were contracted to replace the footing (muffs) at the base of 76 pylons along a 35 mile stretch in Dorset.
The works are being completed on behalf of Interserve, an international construction company with a worldwide staff of over 80,000 and the client is SSE.
The team will approach the replacement of each of the 76 pylons by breaking and excavating the existing base to expose the metal beams. They will then prime the metal with a waterproof coating before pouring new concrete.
