Are You Ready To Run Loch Lomond?

CPR have once again signed up as Gold Sponsors for Run Loch Lomond in 2022. This popular event is in its 34th year and is a continuation of the Vale of Leven 10k. It is organised by West Dunbartonshire Leisure, and CPR have supported the event through sponsorship since 2018.

The race takes place on Saturday 18th June at Moss O’ Balloch Park and will include something for everyone with a 10k for ages 15+, 5k for ages 11+ and a fun run of children up to and including p7.

Up to 1600 people are expected to take part and enjoy the picturesque route which takes in the banks of Loch Lomond from Ballock Park as well as the River Leven.

There are prizes for various categories and CPR are planning a special prize draw for entrants which will be announced in in the coming weeks. CPR are working with West Dunbartonshire Leisure to ensure that support is targeted toward helping young people who want to take part in the event can do so, and can go onto participate in local athletics in the coming year.

William Black, Managing Director of CPR said of the sponsorship,

“Run Loch Lomond is a fantastic event which has great input and participation from the local community and schools. We want to support WDL by sponsoring the event itself but to also ensure there are no barriers to any young people who want to get involved in the event and progress into athletics if they enjoy it. Having the chance to explore your potential should be open to all young people in the community, and Run Loch Lomond is a great way to channel that."

Run Loch Lomond organisers are encouraging runners to support local charity CHAS. All monies raised by Team CPR on the day will be donated to this amazing cause. Donations and more information can be found on their website www.chas.org.uk.

Entries are now open and will close on 16th June. Visitor information including how to enter can be found on the website www.runlochlomond.com.
