Successful Completion of Resurfacing Works at Waverley Station

Platform 12 at Waverley Station was the latest platform to be extended as part of the EGIP project to improve the rail infrastructure and commuter times between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

CPR were the resurfacing contractor for this project and worked with contractor Carillion plc and the team of rail specialists to deliver the project successfully. An incredible 22.5 million people use this line every year. The platform will accommodate longer trains being introduced on both the Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk route and the East Coast Main Line.

CPR excavated and resufaced the platform using our specialist rail infrastructure plant and machinary to carry out the contract. CPR's surfacing teams are all certified PTS.
