The works are part of Scottish Water’s £8M investment with delivery partner ESD to upgrade the existing WTW to ensure the continual supply of clear drinking water. The main scope of the project consists of the construction of a new mixer chamber along with associated pipework, as well as new mechanical and electrical equipment to be installed within the existing building. CPR will be constructing a new static mixer chamber by the means of the following work stages;

·        Deep excavation supported by temporary works.

·        Installation of over 36 tonnes of steel reinforcement.

·        Construction of temporary formwork.

·        Cast in-situ concrete base slab, walls column and soffit.

Mannofield WTW begins in February 2023 with an expected duration of 20 weeks. This is the second project CPR have been awarded for ESD since becoming an approved supplier in 2021. The first project the CPR Civils Division worked with ESD on was to deliver concrete works for the £52M development of Invercannie Water Treatment Works.
